It was the scent that decided everything.

Vân cannot see the land he farms. But the first time he arrived in the highlands of Gia Lai, the fragrance of coffee flowers found him — sweet and impossible to ignore.

For someone without sight, what leaves a lasting impression is not color, but fragrance.

Coffee carries that through its life — from blossom to fruit to bean.

His wife felt it too. In that moment, they made a decision that would change their lives.

They bought an old garden.

Some said to clear it.

Others believed old roots carry something new ones cannot.

So they grafted new shoots onto existing rootstock — the future growing out of the past.

The early seasons were difficult.

But the farm revealed itself through other senses: the weight of ripe cherries, the sound of harvest hitting the pail, the sweetness of fruit from the branch.

On the Pleiku plateau, red soil, cool air, and elevation shape this coffee slowly — producing a highland Robusta with uncommon depth and balance.

Vân and his family committed to this place while following a scent and his natural instinct.
